The 2013-2014 Kindergarten School Year Begins!

Purple Pod Parents,
    We are so excited to welcome your babies to their first days of school next week!  You are going to be amazed with the growth and changes that will occur over the next year!  It is so exciting to see the differences in each student from beginning to the end when they move on to another teacher's classroom.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.  
    Remember, volunteers are ALWAYS welcome!  Get those background forms filled out, notarized, and returned so you can volunteer in our classrooms and go on fieldtrips with us this year!  :)

Purple Pod Kindergarten Open House (August 15th)

Purple Pod Parents,
    We would like to thank you all for coming to open house and bringing all the sweet kindergarten babies for us to meet tonight!  Please know that if you were unable to come you may set up an alternative time to come in to meet and ask any questions that you may have.  It was a fantastic open house and we are looking forward to a great kindergarten 2013-14 school-year!

Purple Pod Kindergarten Teachers

We have been working hard to be ready for all our new K kids!  Below is information about activities planned for the week.

Mon. Aug. 12:  Back to School Rally Village Green Park 5:00-7:00 pm
Millbrook city schools are hosting this informational rally for the community.  Principals from each of the schools will speak and there will be booths representing each school set up around the park.  Be sure to stop by the CES booth.  There will be free pizza and popcorn along with information about our wonderful school.

Thurs. Aug 15:  Open House 12:00-6:00
Mrs. Weekley and Ms. Holder's parents and children are invited to drop- in any time from 12:00-5:30
to meet us and see the classrooms.   Mrs. Beale and Mrs. Chaney's parents and children are invited to come from 5:00-6:00 in their classrooms.  You may bring the school supplies to Open House if you wish.
The PTO will have an information table in the main lobby.  We encourage you to join our PTO.  A family membership is $10.00 and it is a great way to become involve and shows your commitment to our school.  The pod that has the most members wins an ice cream party!  K Purple loves ice cream!  :)
You may also purchase wristbands for the Back to School Bash on Aug.17th. and  the counselors will be selling cool CES shirts.

Sat. Aug.17:  Back to School Bash Village Green Park 10:00 am-2:00pm
The PTO is hosting this really exciting day to gear up for a fabulous year.  There will be games, inflatables, vendors, food vendors available for community/family fun.  As with all fund raisers  monies come directly to our school.  We hope to see every one there!

Welcome to the Purple Pod!  We are excited about this year and look forward to meeting and working with you and your children.  Our blog will have information, dates, lesson plans and more.   See you at Open House on August 15th.  Feel free to bring the supplies.  We will have a super year.
